Changes to PRESTO Fares in Brampton Kick in May 12

Based on recommendations approved by Brampton City Council, Brampton Transit is making changes to PRESTO fares, and they are slated to kick in soon.

Starting May 12, PRESTO adult fares will increase. Single adult rides will now be $3.10, weekly passes will be $34.00 and monthly passes will be $128.00.

The fare change will generate an additional of $1.1 million in revenue in 2019. It will help Brampton Transit finance service improvements and expansion. Brampton Transit plans to increase the number of buses in the city (five 60 ft. articulated buses and seven 40 ft. conventional buses) and provide an additional 81,000 service hours.

Along with the changes to adult fares, starting later this year Brampton seniors will have access to $15 monthly seniors passes.

Cash fares, children, youth, senior and GO Transit co-fares will remain the same.
