For the second year in a row Cineplex is screening free movies in theatres across Canada for Cineplex Community Day.

This year the event takes place on Saturday, October 14. Movie-goers will have their choice of five films, and while this year’s lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, last year’s movies were The Jungle Book, Inside Out, The Finest Hours, The Good Dinosaur, and Zootopia.

This year participating theatres will also have concession snacks including popcorn, drinks, and candy on sale for $2, a massive cut from typical exorbitant movie snack prices. All concession proceeds go to WE Charity.

Locations and showtimes have not been announced yet, but at least one of Brampton’s theatres should be included on the list.

Seating for the free movies is not guaranteed and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Stay tuned to Bramptonist for more details about which local cinemas will participate in the free movie day.
