CTV’s Holmes Family Effect premiere features a Brampton school

Holmes Family Effect is a new show on CTV that premiered on Sunday, February 7, 2021, after the Superbowl.

The show features prominent Canadian contractors Mike, Sherry and Michael Holmes. For their premiere episode, the trio chose Judith Nyman Secondary School (1305 Williams Parkway) in Brampton as their project.

For the Nyman SS project, the Holmes family oversaw a huge renovation of three classrooms which are used for the school’s regional skilled trades program. The rooms were the woodworking shop, the home renovation shop, and the masonry shop.

The episode also has a guest appearance from comedian Russell Peters, who graduated from the school himself.

The filming and work on the classrooms were completed back in 2019.

Check out a preview of the episode below.
