Brampton is changing for the good. Two years ago, conversations about collaboration, co-working, creative economy, incubation and social enterprises, were few and far between. But in the past year with the opening of Lab B Co working, the launch of Fuse, The MakerSpace at the library, and countless other things, the city has changed so drastically, and in such an incredible way, we knew this was the right time for Bramptonist.

This blog has been months in the making, and sprung from a need we saw in the community for a convergence of all the good, awesome stuff we have going on here. Brampton is suffering from an identity crisis, and we hope to add to the voices already advocating for a more innovative, culturally vibrant community, that we can be proud and excited to be a part of.

One of our biggest goals is to cultivate a knowledge-based culture of sharing on this blog. So if you’ve got an amazing roti shop down the street, or you had some out of this world jerk chicken last week, we want to hear about it! If it’s notable or worthy of praise, whether it’s food, people, events, art, ANYTHING, we want to hear about it!

So jump on the band wagon and join us in our adventures! Rome wasn’t built in a day, and shaping Brampton into what we want isn’t going to happen without some work. We can’t do it alone. If you’d like to contribute to Bramptonist through photos, words, art, events–anything you can think up really–contact us! We’d be happy to have you on our team!

Stick around a while and check out the site, we’ve got restaurant reviews, best of lists, community features and so much more!
