The first 5k in downtown Brampton is happening on Saturday, October 28. It is the FOLD’s Halloween Hustle 5k and while it’s back for a second year, it moves from Professor’s Lake to downtown.
The second annual event is a fundraiser for the Festival of Literary Diversity, and like its sponsor, the Halloween Hustle is accessible for those who want to run, walk, or wheel the route along Etobocoke Creek.
The 5k begins at 9:30 and starts at the Brampton YMCA. There will be prizes for costumes, too: both individual and team outfits, so be sure to dress as something other than a runner.
There’s also a Mini-Monster Mile for young people will take place at 10:30am, following the 5K.
