The partial solar eclipse arrived in Southern Ontario on Monday afternoon to quite a bit of fanfare — eclipse glasses were virtually sold out at most stores, and viewing parties were happening everywhere
It’s the first full solar eclipse in North America, but in Brampton, only 72% of the sun was covered. Even so, it was still pretty cool and a nice warm-up for the full eclipse expected in Eastern Canada in 2024.
Brampton photographers were out in full force catching photos of the event
Plenty of Bramptonians also took to Instagram and Twitter to share their snaps.
