Free weekly fitness classes in Garden Square start June 7

Looking to get fit this summer? The City of Brampton is offering free Zuma, yoga, Nia and meditation classes from June to August.

Classes will be offered every Tuesday at 10am and 6pm. Check out the full schedule below.

Mind Body & Soul

Take some time to stretch and relax in a class that integrates various movements from yoga, pilates, tai chi, breathing and relaxation exercises. This class is suitable for new participants.

Nia

Do you love to dance and want a great workout? Try NIA! his is a fun and easy exercise program based on the joy of movement. Instructors will guide you through a routine that focuses on cardio, conditioning, toning, flexibility, strength and relaxation.

Zumba

fusion of international music, this class tones and sculpts without you even knowing it. Based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy to do, this feel-good workout simulates the mind and body.

Zumba Gold

Easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. This class is for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. This class focuses on all elements of fitness; cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.

Yoga

A gentle approach to the ancient art of yoga. The combination of specific postures, deep breathing and relaxation techniques will help relieve stress, increase muscle tone and flexibility, creating balance of body, mind and spirit. Wear loose clothing and bring a blanket, towel or yoga mat for your comfort.
