To say Canadian weather can be unpredictable would be putting it lightly. Last week nobody wanted to skate because of the frigid temperatures, but now local outdoor skating trails are closed for another reason entirely.
The City of Brampton announced Monday that the trail is closed due to weather and ice conditions thanks to the unseasonably warm temperatures we’ve had the past few days.
The city says it’s monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis and will provide updates.
The weather is expected to be warmer than normal into Tuesday, but cool down mid-week, so Gage Park likely won’t stay closed for long.
But apparently, not all of the city’s outdoor skate trails are being affected by the warmer weather. If you fancy a skate outdoors, the Chinguacousy park skate trail and the Mount Pleasant Village outdoor rink are still open and operating normally.
