In mid-November, there was a drastic drop in gas prices in Brampton and the rest of Ontario thanks to the plummeting price of crude, and now prices have dropped even more.

Prices at the pump just dropped another 5 cents a litre and this has resulted in something Ontario hasn’t seen in years: gas priced below $1 per litre. Right now you can fill up your tank for as low as 96 cents per litre at stations across Brampton according to GasBuddy.com.

Right now Ontario has the third lowest gas in the country, right behind Manitoba at 100.4 and Nova Scotia at 104.2. Some cities and towns in Ontario are enjoying prices as low as 87 cents per litre.

According to a spokesperson for GasBuddy the prices are here to stay at least for now and that Ontario should enjoy these unreal gas prices for the foreseeable future.
