Not too long ago Brampton Library announced that the Four Corners, Springdale and Chinguacousy locations are open for picking up reserved books, printing services, computer use and wifi.
Curbside Pickup has also expanded this week (starting September 9) and now includes Gore Meadows, Mount Pleasant Village, Cyril Clark, South West and South Fletcher’s Branch Libraries.
Brampton Library, in collaboration with the City of Brampton, has unveiled new safety protocols including such steps as installation of plexiglass shields, mandatory use of masks and asking the public to leave every 90 minutes for cleaning breaks at the three reopening branches. Those going to the library are also asked to self-monitor for symptoms and not enter a library branch if feeling unwell.
The hours at the newly open locations are unusual. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays the hours will be:
- 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. then closed for cleaning
- 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. then closing for cleaning
- 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. then closed for cleaning
- 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and then closed for the day
Tuesdays and Thursdays the hours will be:
- 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. then closed for cleaning
- 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. then closed for cleaning
- 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. then closed for cleaning
- 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and then closed for the day.
Mount Pleasant Village, Cyril Clark, South Fletcher’s, Gore Meadows and South West locations will offer curbside pickup on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Note that services are offered solely on a first-come, first-served basis and the library encourages customers to check the Brampton Library website for the latest service updates.
