This message on the PAMA website indicates that PAMA is closed to the public until further notice. The brief statement reads, “Our priority at PAMA is to ensure the safety and health of our visitors, staff, and volunteers, so we have made the decision to temporarily close PAMA to the public starting Saturday, March 14 until further notice. We will continue to provide updates on our website and social media as it becomes available.”

March Break is next week (March 16-20, 2020) and the Peel Art Gallery Museum + Archives will be having a week of fun-filled activities involving art and science that kids and their families can enjoy. Everything is included in PAMA general admission (and free to members) unless otherwise noted. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Here’s what’s in store for you and your family at PAMA for March Break:
Monday, March 16: From 10 am to 3 pm, you can drop in and explore the difference between thick and thin liquids as you transform a simple blot of paint into a crazy monster of your own creation.
You can also pre-register to create with chemistry and mix up your own slime monster! For this one pre-registration is required and there’s an extra cost of just $2 +HST per person. Choose a timeslot to reserve your place: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm and 2 pm.
Tuesday, March 17: From 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm earn all about the insect world as children’s musician Rob Joy comes face to face with “The Bungalow Bugs” in his sing-along concert Let’s Sing About Bugs. This one needs pre-registration and has an additional $2 +HST/person fee above admission. Choose a timeslot to reserve your spot: 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
You can also drop in between 10 am to 3 pm and explore different kinds of bugs by using mixed media techniques to create your own colourful creepy crawlers.
Wednesday, March 18: From 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm join Captain Corbin for boatloads of fun. Imagine, engage and be inspired by this interactive pirate magic show. Pre-registration is required and there’s an additional fee of $2 +HST/person beyond admission. Choose a timeslot to reserve your spot: 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
You can also drop in between 10 am to 3 pm and learn to tell time like pirates did before clocks were invented and create your own sundial.
Thursday, March 19: From 11:30 to 12:30 pm, explore and learn about the impossible possibilities of bubbles with Bubbleology’s engaging and inspiring show. Pre-registration required with a$2 +HST/person in addition to admission. Choose a timeslot to reserve your spot: 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
As with the other days, you can drop in between 10 am to 3 pm and paint with bubbles as you blow and pop your way to an artistic masterpiece.
Friday, March 20: Explore connections between art and movement as you create your own mini-motion picture with a zoetrope. Pre-registration required with a$2 +HST/person in addition to admission. Choose a timeslot to reserve your spot: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm and 2 pm.
You can also drop in between 10 am and 3 pm and create your own optical illusion using colours, shapes and patterns.
