Board game lovers across the city were pretty bummed when House of Cards, Brampton’s first board game cafe closed its doors just a year after opening. But now Wildcard is opening and we have all the details.
Wildcard Board Game Cafe is opening where Italian restaurant Cantina Fellini used to be in downtown Brampton. This is just a one-minute walk from where the old cafe, House of Cards, was located.
The cafe will have over 200 board games, including classic and ethnic games such as Risk, Settlers of Catan, and a favourite in South Asian households, Carrom.

But what’s a good board game night without food and drinks? Their menu will be an eclectic mix of various cuisines with a focus on comfort food. They’ll have banh mi sandwiches, samosas, grilled cheese and more.
Wildcard’s menu will also have something pretty unique — chocolate nachos, a sweet and salty treat that features tortilla chips covered with melted chocolate and brownie pieces. The menu will have vegetarian and vegan options as well.

Wildcard will also have a menu of decadent drinks, including some elaborate and delicious looking milkshakes, as well as caffeinated drinks to fuel those long games of Risk and Settlers of Catan.
Wildcard officially opens to the public on December 7 at 48 Main Street North.
