Snow hasn’t made much of an appearance in Brampton yet this season, but it likely won’t impact the opening of Mount Chinguacousy.
Brampton’s only hill for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing is slated to open December 27 and preparations are already underway.
As with past years, Mount Chinguacousy will offer its standard lift tickets that start at $14 for an hour and go all the way up to $24 for a full day.

You have the option to bring your own gear or you can rent skis, snowboards, boots, poles and all the other required equipment to get on the hill. Rentals for equipment start at $15 for an hour and vary by price depending on what you’re renting and for how long. A full-day rental for all the required ski equipment is $26, and for snowboarding its $32.
The tubing hill will also be open on December 27. Fees are pretty reasonable — they start at $13.50 for 6 rides and cap out at 18 rides for $27.
During the holiday season, December 27 until January 6, tubing operates every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. but is closed on New Year’s Day.
The rest of the season runs January 10 to March 10 and the hill is open for tubing Thursday through Sunday. Hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Note that there’s a minimum height requirement of 42 inches to ride the tubes.
