As powdery snow blankets the earth it creates the perfect conditions to rip through on skis or a snowboard, or even a tube! Thankfully you don’t have to plan an entire day trip to Narnia, or some other winter wonderland far, far away, in order to enjoy this fun and exhilarating activity.
You can stay in Brampton and head to Mount Chinguacousy, which provides a multiple lane hill for your practice and pleasure, equipped with a lift to get you quickly back up to the top.
The ski chalet has rentals, including helmets, or you can bring your own standard gear.
Ching Park skiing opens after Christmas and closes approaching mid-March. There are days with expanded hours scheduled for the Holiday Season (after Christmas into the first week in January), Family Day and March Break.
Mount Chinguacousy is located in Chinguacousy Park (1050 Bramalea Road). The ski chalet can be accessed through the entrance near the corner of Central Park Drive and Bramalea Road.
