Downtown Brampton’s Classic Cars festival is back and this year it’s a giant street party with food, music, and entertainment happening over three days.
The festival kicks off Thursday, July 20 with a Sinatra tribute band featuring the Jazz Mechanics and Jeff Sommervile. It’s a little taste of the jazz festival set to hit Brampton this fall.
On Friday, July 21 all of downtown Brampton’s laneways are having themed parties. Times Square (outside the new city hall entrance) is having a Latin Fiesta, Harmsworth Lane will be throwing an all-out Canadian bash, and DJs will be spinning in Vivian Lane and McArthur Lane all night.
Cuban band Havana Club is taking over George Street outside Sul Irmaos Smokehouse so you can dance in the streets with reckless abandon if you so please. Sul Irmaos will also have an extended patio if you’d like to grab a few drunks.
On Friday night, Garden Square’s concert series will have the Marc Joseph Band headlining at 8 p.m.
For those there for the cars, that action goes down on Saturday. The Classic Cars Parade and the Show & Shine start at 1 p.m.
Shania Twain, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra tribute artists will also perform on Main Street.
