For Jollibee fans in Brampton, the wait is over. The GTA just got its second location of the popular Filipino fast food chain and it’s just a stone’s throw away.
Jollibee opened its first Ontario location in Toronto just a few months ago and the lineups were insane. So it comes as no surprise that crowds rushed the newest location in Mississauga at Heartland Town Centre.
People lined up as early as Thursday at 1 a.m. for the anticipated opening of the popular fried chicken chain. Their chicken is so popular that over a million pieces are sold per day worldwide at over 1,100 locations in New York, Las Vegas, Dubai, Hong Kong, and more.
Mississauga’s Jollibee location is the chain’s 41st in North America, and crowds didn’t disappoint, with a lineup wrapped around the building by 9 a.m. on Friday morning.
The company anticipated the fanfare, so to limit wait times they’re limiting transactions to a $60 maximum for now. This is a step up from the insanity surrounding Toronto’s opening where people waited in line for hours and the company had to distribute tickets for the queue.
Jollibee’s Mississauga location is at 800 Boyer Blvd inside Seafood City and it’s open daily from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m.
