Worldwide Knit in Public Day happens this June and Brampton’s resident groups of knitters is throwing a lawn party.
The event happens on June 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Peel Art Gallery Museum & Archives, located at 9 Wellington St E. The action goes down on the front lawn located directly across from Gage Park.
Worldwide Knit in Public Day is happening across the globe with hundreds of events planned in almost every continent. Canada alone will have over fifty knitting parties and events on June 9.
Every Thursday knitters and crocheters meet at Peel Art Gallery to knit and crochet items that are donated to local shelters and other organizations in need.
Organizers recommend bringing a lawn chair, water, snacks, sunscreen and something to knit or crochet.
