A Second Round of Built in Brampton Swag Just Dropped

Back in December, high school students in LAB B’s Zero Gravity Co-op Program conceptualized, designed and marketed a line of sweaters to rep Brampton’s culture and promote city pride.

The sweaters were a huge hit and sold out within weeks. Now a second wave of co-op students in the program have launched new designs and expanded the line.

The Built In Brampton collection now includes ball caps, short sleeve boat neck t-shirts in three designs, and a long-sleeved shirt in its own unique design. The classic black Built In Brampton sweater that started it all is still part of the collection.

LAB B is a coworking space and business incubator located in downtown Brampton that brings professionals from across a bunch of industries together into a shared space. Part of its programming includes their co-op program, which just received a huge funding commitment from Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

The Zero Gravity Program provides high school students with the opportunity to enhance their skills through workshops, activities and a semester of hands-on work in the form of a project they collaborate on with oversight from adult mentors and LAB B staff.

From working with suppliers, writing a business plan, setting up a website and executing marketing objectives, the students worked on the project throughout its various stages.

This second cohort of students in the program picked up the baton and carried the project through its second phase.

T-shirts and ball caps are $25, long sleeve shirts $30, and sweaters $40, and they are all available online here. Use promo code Bramptonist10 for 10% off your purchase.
