Ontario has officially taken liquor sales online through the LCBO website with over 5,000 products now available for home delivery through Canada Post.
Instead of heading to the local LCBO and having to deal with the crazy hustle and bustle (Have you seen the Bramalea store on a long weekend?), you can officially order beer, wine and spirits online and have them delivered straight to your door with just a few clicks.
It won’t come as fast as a pizza, but it’s still pretty awesome. Purchases of $50 or more can be delivered to your home, office or cottage through Canada Post within three business days at cost of $12 plus tax. You also have the option of picking up your items at any LCBO store at no charge within 12 days of purchasing.
Currently the online store offers quite a few more products than you’re likely to find in any given local LCBO store, including ove 800 products available exclusively online. The online store inventory is expected to expand from 5,000 to 16,000 items before the end of the year.
