Lullaboo Hosts Fun-filled Events for SickKids Fundraiser with hopes of raising over $1 million dollars!

May 9, 2024Lullaboo Nursery and Childcare Center, one of the largest childcare providers in Ontario with four facilities in Brampton and many more across the GTA, is taking strides to support SickKids Hospital with a series of exciting events throughout May.

“We are excited to kick off our SickKids fundraising month and to do our part in supporting the incredible work that SickKids does for children and their families” says Irini Mikhael, Chief Operating Officer of Lullaboo.

For Lullaboo, supporting SickKids is a personal mission, rooted in their dedication to children’s health. Lullaboo’s commitment to excellence extends beyond childcare. They pride themselves on providing quality programming in a nurturing environment.

The fundraising initiative kicked off on May 3rd with a heartwarming gesture: children at all 16 Lullaboo locations wore specially designed pajamas for Lullaboo children.

Fundraising by the Numbers

During the month of May, Lullaboo donates the effective amount payable of all registration fees collected to the SickKids Foundation.

Lullaboo aims to raise $1 million for SickKids by 2025, emphasizing the importance of children’s health and well-being.

Lullaboo has been a partner with SickKids since 2011 and is excited at the continuous growth of their fundraising efforts. In 2023, they raised $190,556 which adds to a cumulative $540,000 over the years. This year, their goal is $200,000!

Community Buy-In – Donor of the Week

“We are grateful for the support of Lullaboo and the entire community in helping us to make a difference in the lives of children and their families,” said Julie Garcia Sjogrim, Vice-President, Corporate and Community Partnerships, SickKids Foundation.

For the Week of May 6th, SickKids named Lullaboo “Donor of the Week”.

Mayor Patrick Brown of Brampton praises the initiative, highlighting its impact on both children and the community. “Ensuring children are well cared for when parents are at work is critical to their health and growth, and to the economy.”
