Beginning Thursday, August 8, GO Transit will be relocating all bus platforms at the Bramalea GO station.

GO Transit is undertaking major improvements to the Bramalea GO station, which will see the addition of more parking spaces, improved connections, an updating of amenities, and enhanced accessibility.

Other changes will include, a new station building with links to a parking garage that will add an additional 1,300 spaces, a new passenger pick-up and drop-off area, improved platforms for GO Transit and Brampton Transit, as well as a separate bus loop for Züm rapid-transit buses

The construction will also include a new bike storage room, retail spaces, an accessible pedestrian tunnel at the west end of the station, an emergency call system to improve safety, capacity for 12-car trans, and more.

Temporary Changes and Impacts to Bramalea GO until August 21, 2021 Include:

Some 492 parking spots had already been relocated in the temporary lot across Bramalea Rd in March, now another temporary parking lot will be relocated further south by the parking-garage construction area.

Some buses will leave from different numbers than usual so ensure you confirm before travelling. Extra GO staff will also be on hand on Thursday, August 8 and Friday, August 9 to assist with wayfinding

There will be new stops for most buses, which will be located by the pick-up and drop-off area at the northwest side of the station. For buses operating eastbound along Highway 407 the new stop will be on the bus lane by the exit onto Steeles Avenue East.

Go Transit says that these temporary bus terminals at Bramalea GO Station will be in effect for “approximately the next 18-24 months” or until August 31, 2021.
