Masks and reservations are now required for all City of Brampton outdoor ice rinks

As of Wednesday, January 27, 2021, non-medical masks or face coverings are mandatory on the ice at all city-owned outdoor skating rinks for all participants over the age of ten.

The city advises that participants of all ages are still required to wear a non-medical mask or face covering in all other areas of the skating enclosure, which includes washrooms, staging areas, and while waiting in line to check-in for a reserved skate.

Skating Reservations

Under current provincial lockdown measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, capacity limits and a reservation system have been implemented at outdoor ice rinks. Here is what the city advises:

  • Plan your visit to an outdoor ice rink by making a reservation online using a new or existing Recreation registration account.
  • Effective Sunday, January 24, outdoor skating can be reserved 24 hours in advance of the chosen time for the following day.
  • Due to high demand and limited capacity, residents are permitted one outdoor skate reservation per day. This is to ensure equitable access to outdoor skating for the entire community.
  • Reservations are required for all patrons (including parents/guardians or others accompanying skaters).
  • As of Wednesday, January 27, 2021, non-medical masks or face coverings are mandatory on the ice at all outdoor skating rinks for all participants ages ten (10) and over. Participants of all ages continue to be required to wear a non-medical mask or face covering in all other areas of the skating enclosure, which includes washrooms, staging areas, and while waiting in line to check-in for reserved skates.
