McDonald’s Canada is bringing back its $1 cone promotion to kick off the beginning of summer.

This marks the second year in a row for McDonald’s to give vanilla soft serve ice cream cones at a very low price. Last summer, the promotion was a huge hit for Canadians across the country.

In 2018 Ladner, British Columbia sold over 1,200 cones in a single day while over in Bathurst, New Brunswick had the most recorded cone sales for the entire year.

In celebration of the $1 plus tax cone promo, McDonald’s issued a press release that shared which Canadian cities, which the company calls the “Canadian Cone Capitals”, had the highest cone sales from May to August of 2018.

Bathurst, New Brunswick was in the top spot followed by Regina, Saskatchewan; Laval, Quebec; Calgary, Alberta; Squamish, British Columbia; and Orleans, Ontario.

The $1 cone promotion will run from June 4 until September 2, and there’s good news for residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba as McDonald’s locations in those provinces will be also selling the new Chocolate Waffle Cone for $2 plus tax.
