Summer is just around the corner and we don’t know about you, but we’re already hunting for ways to enjoy the outdoors when the time comes.
We can’t think of a better way to enjoy it than on the sand. Canada Beach Sports (CBS) has officially opened registration for their beach volleyball, beach soccer and beach flag football leagues.
All leagues will be run at their 35,000 sq. ft. facility located at the old Brampton fairgrounds on Heart Lake Road, beginning at the end of May.
Beach Volleyball
Dig and dive with reckless abandon, the sand is there to break your fall. Beach volleyball will run on Wednesdays (competitive spiking) and Thursdays (non-spiking). This league starts on May 24 and runs for 15 weeks, with all teams making the playoffs in September. Each team is guaranteed two 40 minute games a week.
Beach Soccer
No shin pads or cleats for this kind of soccer, just your feet on the plush sand. The beach soccer co-ed league will run Mondays starting May 29, with separate men’s and women’s leagues teams to run Tuesdays starting May 23. Each team will play three 15-minute games every week.
Beach Flag Football
Sunday football just got better! Beach flag football will run every Sunday, kicking off May 28. Co-ed teams will play two 25-minute non-contact games. It’s similar to tackle football, but players must remove the flag from the ball carrier instead.
Registration for all leagues closures on May 5. Click here for more details.
