Brampton’s list of noteworthy nightlife spots is somewhere on a spectrum of nonexistent to few and far between, but the tides finally seem to be changing.
BAR237, a restaurant and lounge located in the Kennedy and Queen area, just opened up and it looks more than promising.
The new space boasts comfortable leather lounge seating, surrounding a funky swirly blue glass-like floor with standard dining room seating that is easy to clear away for night-time happenings — mostly dancing.
For lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves an eclectic fusion menu with everything from pork belly sandwiches and wings to Baja Fish Tacos and AAA steaks.
On Fridays and Saturdays, they kick it up a notch with dancing as well as a DJ spinning top 40, old school hip hop, soca and more. They even offer bottle service to the lounge-style booths in the space.
The restaurant also serves late-night eats in the form of an appetizer menu with delicious, easy-to-consume items like jerk chicken tacos and Southern fried chicken sliders.
So what we’re trying to say is, Brampton finally has a classy joint for dancing to good music and enjoying a few drinks with friends. Hallelujah.
