Brampton has the youngest and most diverse workforce in the country and with Ryerson U moving into the city in the near future, there’s no doubt  talented young people will continue to spring from here. And what better way to recognize those outstanding people than with a Top 40 Under 40 Award?

The Brampton Board of Trade launched Brampton’s Top 40 Under 40 Awards last year and recognized a bunch of stellar young people including Daniel and Renata Lewis, founders of T By Daniel, celebrity chef Rick Matharu and Balbir Sohi, founder of Great Smiles who secured funding for her business on Dragons’ Den.

Nominations are now open for this year’s awards. So what does the ideal candidate look like? A young professional or entrepreneur who is making waves in their respective industry, an individual whose ingenuity is being recognized in their field someone whose leadership is making an impact on the local, national and even global community.

Some of the qualities listed in the application include leadership, innovation, mentorship, industry influencer and agent of change.

Nominations close May 1, 2018, and the top 40 individuals will be revealed in early June. The top 40 recipients will be recognized at a reception in late June.
