5:00 p.m. Peel Regional Police and Brampton Fire have a large swath of downtown Brampton closed off on Main Street and Queen Street as they investigate a possible natural gas leak. Area buildings have been evacuated just in case and residents should stay away from the area for now. Keep an eye on this article for updates as Bramptonist learns more.
Update, 6:00 p.m. The all-clear has been given.
The leak has been investigated and it has been determined that no danger exists. All roadways have been re-opened and access to area buildings and stores are open. Thank you for your patience as we investigated.
