World of Jazz kicked officially kicked off on Friday night with a performance by the 18-time Grammy-award winning Count Basie Orchestra at the Rose Theatre.

But the festival had its unofficial start on Thursday afternoon with a two-hour serenade by The Yonge Kings, a street band that spent that marched around downtown playing New Orleans style street jazz and pop hits for passersby.

The rest of the festival took place Saturday across downtown Brampton with performances by Rick Brown & The Abeng, The Sidemen, Johan Aguirre & The 905 Mambo Train, and so much more. Check out the photos below.
