The Frigate & Firkin, a bar frequented by many in the city, closed late last week due to a number of health violations.
Peel Health inspectors deemed the bar unfit to stay open after an inspection on March 9.
Violations included failure to keep hazardous food out of danger zone temperatures, failure to maintain non-food contact surfaces and a lack of good housekeeping practices.
Perhaps the most damning though was a failure to provide adequate protection against pests.
The Firkin eventually fixed the issues, passed their re-inspection and was allowed to open back up on Friday.
