Kiki’s Funnel Cakes has been opened at Bramalea City Centre for quite some time, but how many people actually know how delicious their funnel cakes are? These bad boys are on par with the likes of Canada’s Wonderland’s funnel cakes, and that’s no easy thing to achieve.

The Nitty Gritty

I went looking for a little taste of Canada’s Wonderland and Kiki’s classic funnel cake topped with strawberries, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and icing sugar definitely delivered. It tastes just like any delicious carnival funnel cake and the best part of it all? Short lineups! No more waiting endlessly in the hot sun just to get your funnel cake fix, Kiki’s is open year round and it’s just down the street! (I’m still trying to decide if this is a good thing).

Once I wrapped up the regular funnel cake, which was pretty awesome,  it was onto something new and intriguing: Kiki’s red velvet batter funnel cake with a cream cheese icing. I threw in a scoop of ice cream for good measure, and it was bite after bite of delicious deep-fried goodness.

Kiki’s also has a bunch of other carnival type food you can generally only get at The Ex or Wonderland, including deep-fried Mars bars, deep-fried Oreos, and even cotton candy. They look pretty delish too.

A visit to Kiki’s is a win-win scenario. You can stick with the traditional strawberry style mashup, or if you’re looking to try something new, the red velvet battered funnel cake is totally worth at least one try! Their selection of delicious eats is perfect for when you’re really craving those summer carnival snacks.

We shall meet again someday soon, deep-fried goodness.
