Tallest building in Brampton to include 2 floors of retail, 40 stories of residential units, and 2-level restaurant.

January 14, 2023 – A proposed 42-story Boutin Tower in the downtown Brampton area at 94-100 Railroad St., will be a modern addition to the Brampton skyline, while helping to address the lack of housing in the Peel region.

The tower will feature a 2-floor retail space on the main levels, with 40 stories of residential units, topped with a bi-level dining restaurant as the rooftop.

The development, which is being proposed by the Everlast Group, would be the tallest building in Brampton and offer residents and patrons easy access to nearby destinations such as Garden Square, Gage Park, the Rose Theatre, and the Chris Gibson Park and Recreation Centre.

The design for the building is being handled by MAKOR Architecture, which has created a sleek and modern design for the building that will stand out in the skyline.

The retail space will be anchored by a grocery store and lined with storefronts, providing convenience for the residents of the tower. The residential units will be market rental suites spread over 38 levels, providing a variety of options for different needs.

The Boutin Tower will also be a car-free building, with the developers looking to make it more pedestrian-friendly. The tower will be surrounded by a hostile ring of roads and parking, but the developers aim to make it easy for residents and patrons to safely cross it and access nearby destinations.

The rooftop restaurant, spanning the 41st and 42nd floors, will be a draw for locals, with its elevated views and unknown restaurateur, but it is still in the early stages and may take years before construction begins.

The developers are also looking to make the tower a green building with sustainable features that will improve the air quality, reduce energy consumption and water usage, and promote the well-being of the residents.

They also plan to create a community and culture of environmental responsibility and awareness, which will be a positive impact on the surrounding neighborhood.
