Rising Vibes: Discover NEW artists in All-Female Hip Hop R&B Showcase
December 18, 2022 – The City of Brampton is collaborating with local rapper TCspades to present an all-female hip hop and R&B showcase, called “Rising Vibes,” as a platform for up-and-coming artists.
The event, which takes place on December 3rd at The Rose in Brampton, will feature performances by MDRA, Ashlye, and Bre, with DJ HeyHeySK providing the music.
MDRA, a Mississauga-based singer-songwriter known for her diverse sound, has played at The Remix Project’s Showcase, Breaking Sound, and FTP. Ashlye, a Brampton-based R&B and soul artist, has performed at events such as Breaking Sound, NXNE, and off the record.

Bre, also from Brampton, is a singer-songwriter who infuses fun into her R&B music and performances, which have included Shaadap N Paawty and Loud Room. HeyHeySK, an open format DJ and photographer, has played at a variety of events including artist release parties and community events in Jane and Finch.
