Peel Police Request Public Assistance In Robbery & Attempted Murder Case

February 24, 2024 – Peel Regional Police are reaching out to the community for assistance in a serious investigation after an altercation that took place Saturday that left one person critically injured.

The incident unfolded at Duggan Park, located near Ken Whillans Drive and Sproule Drive in Brampton.

During an altercation, a 56-year-old Brampton man sustained stab wounds and was rushed to a trauma center.

The victim and the suspect, who appear to be strangers, crossed paths at the park.

After the altercation, the suspect, described as a white male in his 30s, fled the scene.

The suspect stands approximately 5’9” to 5’10” and weighs around 170lbs.

He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, light-colored track pants, and carrying a black backpack.

The backpack notably bears the letters “JP”.

Investigators are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward.
