Rogers will be making major changes this week in terms of their service. The Canadian wireless network carrier announced that it will be introducing unlimited data plans with no overage charges starting this Thursday.
Canada’s big three national carriers have been slow when it comes to adopting unlimited data plans compared to U.S. wireless networks. However, unlimited data plans have been available to customers of Freedom Mobile (formerly Wind Mobile), which has wireless networks in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta.
Rogers’ new Infinite wireless plans will start at $75 for up to 10 gigabytes of high-speed data usage per month. Along with unlimited data at reduced speeds but without additional fees for going over the limit.
There will also be new options for financing device purchases that Rogers says it will make available to the public later this summer.
