If you’ve visited Shoppers Drug Mart and used their self-checkouts, then you’ve met sassy self-checkout voice lady.
Since rolling out self-checkouts in March, its received a barrage of complaints online because of its seemingly sassy nature. People have likened it to a snarky, uninterested teenager or whiny Millenial.
The company took the complaints to heart and dedicated to do away with the voice in favour of someone who sounded more friendly and less disinterested.

But while the newer, more subdued voice has been introduced in Toronto area stores, it has yet to have made an appearance in Brampton.
Shoppers Drug Mart hasn’t made it clear when they plan to have the new voice rolled out by, so for now, Bramptonians are stuck with the snarky teen.
