The second annual Sikh Heritage Month celebrations kick off Friday, April 1 at Peel Art Gallery. Sikh Heritage Month started as a way to celebrate the rich Canadian Sikh history that extends over 100 years. At PAMA, celebrationgs will bring together exhibitions, workshops and other events to showcase Sikh culture and art.

The month-long event will transform PAMA into a live art space with music, performances and Sikh talent from across the globe.

ART SHOWDOWN: Watch some of the best up and coming artists in the community compete in a live art show.

UNDERGROUND EXHIBITION: A showcase of paintings, illustrations, photography and designs by artists from North America to the United Kingdom.

DROP-IN ART ACTIVITIES: Interactive art-making activities including a gurmukhi calligraphy workshop

GATKA PERFORMANCE & WORKSHOP: Learn more about the rich martial traditions of the Sikh People.

MARKETPLACE: Featuring vendors, community groups, artists and more.

LIVE MUSIC: Attendees will also enjoy live classic and fusion music from Raaginder “Violinder”
