Brampton’s libraries have been undergoing massive transformation over the past couple of years into community spaces, and now they’re taking an even bigger step in that direction.

Libraries everywhere have struggled to stay modern and relevant in the age digital age. But Brampton’s library system has kept up by adding 3D printers, a recording studio comfortable workspaces and making libraries in the city more community-focused, functional spaces that can be used by people of all ages.

Now the library is adding art exhibition spaces to display pieces by local artists as a way to connect library visitors to the creative life of the community.

The exhibition spaces are free to local artists, who can apply through the library’s website.

As for which libraries will have pieces of art displayed, you’ll have to keep your eyes on your local branches in 2019 to find out.
