The beauty of fall, the warmth of the campfire – and the chill of scary stories – has come to Brampton.

The “Campfire Tales: Hauntings and other Strange Happenings” program is on at Brampton’s Chinguacousy Branch library this month.

Stephanie Lechniak, a.k.a Spooky Steph of Haunted Hamilton, is a guest speaker who will entertain and enthrall guests as they learn about some scary stories from Southern Ontario.

At the end of her presentation, there is an open mic where guests can share their own otherworldly tales.

The program is geared toward adults getting into the spirit of Halloween, and runs on Monday, Oct. 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Brampton Library, Chinguacousy branch (150 Central Park Drive).

For more details check out the Facebook event page.

Haunted Hamilton, founded by Lechniak, has operated haunted tours and bus trips to spooky locations all over Canada and the U.S for the past 17 years.

Family-oriented programs will also run at the Chinguacousy branch such as the “Halloween Story Time for Kids” on Oct 29. For more information on events at all seven locations of the Brampton Library visit the Brampton Library Calendar of events
