Ever wonder how the hospitals where you live rank? Newsweek recently collaborated with Statista Inc., a global market research and consumer data company, to compile a ranking of the Best Hospitals in Canada and worldwide.
Tens of thousands of doctors, hospital managers and healthcare professionals took part in an online survey that evaluated factors like patient experience, quality of treatment, cleanliness, and more.
They used these performance indicators to give each hospital a score. So who came out on top? Below is a countdown of the top 10 hospitals in Canada.

When it comes to the world rankings, Toronto General is listed in 7th. Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is ranked as the best hospital in the world.
