On April 1st, Brampton’s Innovation District will feature the Research Innovation Commercialization Centre to team up with other ecosystem partners to help the Region of Peel become a central hub for economic development potential.
The RIC Centre is a “scale-up” organization that helps entrepreneurs make their ideas a reality and help them continue to grow and market their businesses.
It has made a name for itself by helping clients raise up to $110 million in funding, making $97 million in revenue and creating around 1640 new jobs. It has also helped various startups such as B2B organizations, advanced manufacturing, Internet of Things, hardware and software, cleantech and life sciences.
The RIC Centre will join other organizations in the Innovation District along with Brampton’s Entrepreneur Centre, Rogers Cyber Secure Catalyst, Ryerson-Brampton Innovation Zone and the Centre for Innovation.
