This June is Recreation Month for the city of Brampton and residents of all ages are encouraged to get outside and stay active. Here are some of the events for everyone to get out and enjoy.

National Health and Fitness Day – June 1|10 a.m. to 12 p.m.| Chinguacousy Park

There’s a scavenger hunt, Zumba and health and wellness booths.

Rock Climbing Try-Its – Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14|5 p.m. to 8 p.m.|Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16|9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.| Ken Giles Recreation Centre

Children are invited to play camp games and meet the park camp leaders before the official camp season begins July 2.

International Yoga Day |Friday, June 21 |7 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Mount Pleasant Community Centre

Bring a non-slip yoga mat, yoga gear, and do yoga outside for an evening.

Brampton also has more than 25 recreation centres, with 11 swimming pools, 17 ice rinks, fitness facilities, indoor sports fields, outdoor splash pads, and many programs for all ages.
