On Saturday, February 29, the City of Brampton will be hosting its 8th annual Seedy Saturday and Garden Show to kick off the spring season. Not only that, but the first 100 visitors will get a free plant!

The event will have over 30 exhibitors as well as seminars by gardening experts. Guests will get to hear from those experts, receive information on gardening, share, swap and buy seeds, join gardening communities, explore the Kids Zone and enjoy the Seedy Cafe.

The event is held in partnership with the Brampton Horticultural Society and supported by Seeds of Diversity.

  • 10:30 am – 11:15 am “Why Waste Matters” Nancy Lotecki-Neely, Zero Waste Caledon
  • 11:30 am – 12:15 pm “Gardening with Emma” Emma Biggs, horticultural writer and broadcaster
  • 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm “Trees, Bees & Other Things” Brian Millward, Stewardship Coordinator, LEAF​
  • 1:30 pm – 2:15 pm “Edibles in Urban Landscapes” Steven Biggs, horticultural writer and broadcaster

The Seedy Saturday and Garden Show will be at Century Gardens Recreation Centre (340 Vodden Street East) on February 29 from 10 am to 3 pm. This is the schedule of seminars:
