The provincial government announced Wednesday plans to increase GO train service across the Greater Toronto Area, including out of Bramalea GO.

Starting soon a new rush hour train will leave Bramalea GO station at 7:55 a.m. and is expected to serve all stops along the way, arriving at Union Station at 8:33 a.m.

An existing train that currently leaves Malton GO at 8:33 a.m. will now start at Bramalea GO at 8:27, arriving at Union Station at 9:05 a.m. – adding a second departing morning train for Brampton commuters. The new 8:27 a.m. train will also have 10 coaches instead of six, increasing capacity.

The new changes will be in effect starting April 8.
