The Rotary Club of Brampton is having its annual Rib ‘n’ Roll after all, but now how you think.

Normally the festival takes at Gage Park in May, but it’s going to go virtual in July this year. The cool thing is that the festival is working with area restaurants so you can actually have ribs while you catch the entertainment online.

The 20th anniversary of Rotary Rib ‘n’ Roll will be a virtual event celebrated July 26 from 6-9 pm with food and entertainment. John Sanderson, co-chair of the event for the Rotary Club of Brampton says, “We think Brampton is ready for some fun and after much thought and deliberation, we think we have found a perfect way out of the doldrums.”

You’ll be able to stay at home, pre-order food (in convenient family packs as well as a few individual menu items) online from participating restaurants and enjoy a three-hour virtual concert with some of your favourite Rib ‘n’ Roll entertainers.

Net proceeds will support local food banks and front-line workers. There is no cost to
watch the event, but the Rotary Club will accept donations on the website to support various causes the club has deemed a good investment.

Food comes courtesy of Brickyard BBQ, J. Red & Co, RD’s Southern BBQ and the Mississauga Convention Center. Orders can be placed online at https://virtual-rib-n-roll-brampton.myshopify.com/ no later than 9 pm Wednesday, July 22 and orders will be delivered to your door.

The current musical lineup includes Abba Revisited, Dave Murphy Band, Vinyl Countdown, Elyse Saunders and the Rotary Club of Brampton assures us there’s more to come. Be sure to tune in on July 26 starting at 6 pm until 9pm on Facebook Live and YouTube Live. Get the entertainment details here.
