As of this writing on March 16, four new cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed within the Region of Peel.

Yesterday Peel had 17 confirmed cases of coronavirus, so there are now 21.

The Province of Ontario has a COVID-19 website which has all the data for cases in Ontario. At this time the age and sex of the people have not been released, but they are all self-isolating.

The website tells us that there are currently 177 confirmed cases in Ontario, mostly in Toronto, with over 1,500 cases under investigation.

There is good news, too: people are also getting better. The data shows 5 resolved cases, and the province defined resolved as “Patient is no longer infectious based on two consecutive negative tests performed at PHO Laboratory at least 24 hours apart”.
