The City of Brampton is kicking off its second-ever Pride in the Square this weekend. The event takes place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 8 in Garden Square with fun and entertainment happening all day.

The event will have performances by local artists, drag storytime with Fay & Fluffy, DJ performances and more.

This is the second year Brampton has hosted an official pride celebration, and it comes on the heels of the city’s first delegation at the Toronto Pride Parade. Mayor Patrick Brown, a handful of city councillors and local residents marched on June 23.

For those 19 and over, there’s also an afternoon afterparty on the Rose patio with DJ’d by Chippy Nonstop, special cocktails and more. Check out the full schedule below:
