Brampton will soon be introducing a new direct bus rapid transit connection to Toronto Pearson International Airport with an extension of the 505 Züm Bovaird line.
This extension will help residents in Brampton who work at or travel from Toronto Pearson, and it will also give a boost to Brampton’s connections to the Innovation Corridor. It will also improve regional connectivity.
This decision was unanimously supported by Brampton City Council as part of its 2020 Budget. The 505 Züm Bovaird Extension will cost $1.75 million with $900,000 being city-funded and the remainder coming from revenue.
“As part of the Innovation Corridor and the top contributor to the airport’s workforce, we are pleased to support our region’s economic growth and ease Brampton residents’ access to job opportunities,” says Mayor Patrick Brown. “The 2020 Budget makes important investments that are putting the community first.”
The 505 Züm Bus extension will be coming in Fall 2020.
