The cold weather is an inevitable part of living in Canada, but there are a few ways to make it bearable, and a nice winter spa getaway is one of those ways.
Nestled just next door in Caledon is Millcroft Inn, a magical little vintage hotel and spa that sports indoor and outdoor baths, whirlpools and herbal steams. One of the best features though is the serene outdoor hot springs, where you can enjoy a hot soak surrounded by waterfalls and greenery dusted with snow.
The two outdoor springs reach upwards of 40 degrees Celsius, and they also have a polar plunge pool that is set at 7 degrees Celsius. Other choices for a dip include a heated outdoor pool, and an indoor pool and whirlpool.
But that’s not all, if you’re seriously in need of escaping winter to soak up some warmth, you also have the option to relax in their steam rooms or cedar sauna.
Millcroft is a luxury spa so you also have the option to enjoy some TLC in the form of luxury spa treatments in their state-of-the-art facility. Private rooms are available so you can stay the night.
There are day passes you can get for the hot spring which includes access to the springs, indoor and outdoor pools, polar plunge, sauna, steam room, and the cafe. If you’re staying overnight or buying spa treatments up to $100, access to the springs is already included.
If you want to make it a regular escape rather than just a getaway now and then, Millcroft also sells memberships that give access to their pools, hot springs and fitness facility.
