Summer in Southern Ontario is well underway and it has been a fantastic one. There is no better time than now to get out for a summer adventure and we’ve got the perfect place to explore.
Kelso Conservation Area is a short 30-minute drive from Brampton and it not only sports epic views, but it has tons of other activities, too.
Located in Milton, the conservation area is four square kilometres. It’s open year-round but in the summer it brings people in droves to enjoy picturesque hiking trails, cliff lookouts, beaches, canoeing, mountain biking and more.

To enjoy those Insta-worthy views, enjoy Kelso’s 16 kilometres of marked trails along the Niagara Escarpment. The trails are various lengths and difficulty levels, offering different lookout points along the way. Trails can be enjoyed through hiking or mountain biking. The park also has a peaceful boardwalk and other little nooks and crannies worth exploring.
When your hike is complete, you can cool off at Kelso’s pristine beach, take a canoe out on the water or even camp for the night.
The conservation area also has lots of other activities like rock climbing, movie nights, a Friday food truck festival, and more.
Kelso Conservation Area is located at 5234 Kelso Road in Milton, ON. More information is available on their website.
