Area municipalities will be live streaming the Hip’s final concert of their farewell tour next month, and Brampton is looking to follow suit.
The city revealed in a tweet Thursday that they are actively working to secure the broadcasting rights. If all goes well, you’ll be able to catch the August 20 show on the big screen in the Square. Hip tickets sold out in a flash after going on sale in May.
After a rearranged set design, they released a block of new tickets, but those were gone in minutes too, leaving fans without a seat to The Hip’s biggest show. Resale tickets are currently going for anywhere from $120 to $600 on Stubhub.
Currently Orangeville and Hamilton have plans to live stream the concert. Toronto and Mississauga were even looking to host free Hip concerts as well, but without any success.
Catching the show live on the big screen is the next best thing if you can’t catch it in person. Fans will be among fans for what’s sure to be an unforgettable, history book worthy final show.
